Robbie Bennett
Robbie Bennett is a regional economic developer and executive known for driving large-scale job creation, capital investment, and strategic growth across the Greater Augusta region. With nearly two decades of experience, he has led initiatives that have generated more than 10,600 jobs and $1.25 billion in capital investment.
Since 2023, Robbie has served as President & CEO of the SRS Community Reuse Organization, where he leads regional efforts in housing strategy, workforce development, and nuclear policy, including the advancement of a long-term nuclear economy strategy supporting the Savannah River Site. His work focuses on aligning public and private partners to support sustainable growth and meet evolving workforce demands.
Throughout his career, Robbie has partnered with global employers and community stakeholders to deliver complex economic development projects, with expertise in strategic planning, cross-sector partnership building, and industrial site development.
His leadership has earned statewide and national recognition, including being named one of Augusta’s “Top 10 in 10 Young Professionals to Watch,” Lander University’s Young Alumnus of the Year, and a Top 40 Under 40 honoree by Development Counsellors International. In 2022, Georgia Trend Magazine recognized him among the Top 500 Most Influential Leaders in Georgia.
Robbie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Lander University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of South Carolina. He is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD). He and his wife, Trenney, have two daughters.
