Mindy Mets
Mindy Mets is the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. In this capacity, Mindy is actively involved with connecting the region’s nuclear employers and educators to establish a unified approach toward addressing workforce issues. Projects, including the management of over $20M in grant programs, are targeted to ensure that citizens of the area have the opportunity to establish local careers by developing the skills needed locally.
Mindy has extensive knowledge of the region and the Savannah River Site where she served in a variety of capacities over the last 30 years including emergency services department response planning, program budget and workforce planning. Mindy has also served as the coordinator for the Savannah River Site Citizens Advisory Board, which provides advice and recommendations to the U.S. Department of Energy on environmental remediation, waste management and related issues. Mindy directed the Southeast Environmental Management Association, a non-profit business association, where she managed and implemented conference activities, including event promotion, sponsorships and meeting logistics. Prior to her work in the SRSCRO region, Mindy conducted research and testing for the U.S. Air Force. Mindy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Auburn University.
